iShowU Instant: How to capture Skype – shinywhitebox help

iShowU is perfectly suited for recording Skype conversations or other video chat apps. Please refer to the following steps to get you started.

Make sure that both Microphone and Application/System audio capture is turned on in iShowU. Note: In this example I'm recording from a G930 headset (that's my mic)
Go to iShowU | Preferences and setup the audio preview device to your headset. You want to do this to ensure that you hear the other person in the call.
Setup Skype so that it outputs to the "iShowU Audio Capture" driver. This is so that iShowU can record the other persons side of the Skype call.

Important Note: Test your Skype recording settings ahead of time!

It is advisable to test your recording settings ahead of any conversations you want to record to ensure you're able to capture both Microphone audio (your voice) and Application audio (Skype's audio / your caller) properly.

We recommend you live call a friend to check it's all working.
