Recording application audio
In order to record application audio in iShowU Instant, you will need to install iShowU Audio Capture. For more information about iShowU Audio Capture and how to install it see this article.
Once iShowU Audio Capture is installed, you can check the Record application audio check box in Basic or Advanced mode to record application audio.
Can't hear audio?
If you can't hear application audio through your speakers or headphones after ticking the Record application audio check box, there are a few things you can do:
- Try unticking and re-ticking the Record application audio check box.
- Switch to Advanced mode if you're not already in it, and click on the Audio tab. Make sure Monitor application audio is checked.
- Open iShowU Instant Preferences either from the main app menu or by pressing ⌘, and make sure the Preview Device is set to the device you want to hear the application audio from.
