From iShowU Instant to iShowU V6 - What do I need to know?

There's a couple of important changes in V6 for those of you used to how iShowU Instant works. 

Firstly though: iShowU V6 is mostly the same idea. Record in realtime, produce a movie as soon as you press "stop".  It just does it better, and faster (with some more features!)

Changes:

  • The "canvas" (the size of the output, and where all the visual layers are composited to)
  • No audio driver required!
  • Ability to record only some elements of the screen (examples: if you record, notice how iShowU V6 isn't part of the recording?  or; you can record just one app, or a selection of apps)
  • Camera, AI based background removal, backgrounds, masking
  • Layers 
  • Speed - V6 is "all Metal" for the fastest possible performance

    This sounds great! Does the "record in realtime" feature actually work well? I've found other screen recorders lag noticeably, making the final video choppy. I found V6 to be surprisingly smooth, even with a lot happening on-screen. It's like night and day!
